Henry's Improvements — also known as Henry General Construction LLC — was born from a simple belief: that every home deserves to be treated with the same care and respect you'd give your own.

It started with two men and a van.

In 2012 (incorporation), J. Enrique "Henry" Ayala M. and his partner, set out with a toolbox, a work ethic, and a commitment to doing things right. No shortcuts. No excuses. Just honest work, done well. Word spread — one satisfied client told another, then another — and what began as small repair jobs quietly grew into something bigger in which it continues to expand.

Years later, Henry's Improvements has completed over 1,000+ projects across New Jersey and New York City — from quick handyman repairs to full-scale kitchen and bathroom remodels, custom decks, flooring, basement finishes, commercial build-outs, and insurance restorations.

We are fully licensed and insured in New Jersey, and we bring that same standard of professionalism to every single job — big or small.

HOW WE'VE GROWN

In 2016, Henry takes the bold step of going solo and establishing Henry General Construction.

Here's something we're proud of since inception: we have never relied on ads nor social media to grow this business.

Every client we've earned has come through a referral. A neighbor recommending us to a neighbor. A landlord sending us to their friend. A real estate agent calling us back for the fifth time. That kind of trust isn't bought — it's built, project by project, over years.

It's the foundation this company stands on, and it's what drives us to keep getting better.

A decade later, his son Javier introduces a fresh perspective and an expanded mission, aiming to expand the business by venturing into uncharted territories.
